"Lord, I believe."
John 9:37-39, Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”
Experience isn’t everything, but a man with an experience is no match for man with none. The religious rulers were as blind spiritually as this man was physically before Jesus healed him. They were right to say this man was born in utter sin, and wrong to assume that they were not. Jesus is ready to open the eyes of all who come to Him, that we may see, all who recognize their great need for His healing touch. How many will join with this man in proclaiming, “Lord, I believe?” and worship Him?
We thank You that You open the eyes of the blind and shut the eyes of those who are convinced of their own self righteousness!
