"For all things are possible with God."

Mark 10:24-27, And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”

We see another teaching in the parable of the sower, wherein the implanted seed of the word of God springs up but is choked out by the thistles, the cares of the world. Idolatry can seize our hearts in many forms, one of them to put our trust in temporal riches. In our own culture, we tend to elevate those who have material wealth, even in spiritual settings. Jesus is very clear about the fact that we brought nothing with us into this world, and that one day each of us will leave it all behind! Fortunately for us, it is God who saves us, and He has blessed many of us with material wealth that we may have the opportunity to be good stewards with all that He has given us!

May we use those material blessings to accomplish good works that You have laid out for us, and rest in the security of Your possibilities!
