Not even His brothers believed in Him.
John 7:5-7, For not even his brothers believed in him. Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil.”
If Jesus faced opposition from His own family, why should we be surprised if the same thing happens? Yet we know that James, His brother did come to believe in Him and was an early church leader who went to his death rather than recant His faith in Jesus Christ as messiah and Lord of all. He was hated by the world, and we should not be surprised if our own faith brings forth hatred from those who hate Him. Do we trust God to be with us even though the times may be evil?
Be with us Lord, we cannot live without You!
