The mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:16-3:3, “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

There were those in Paul’s day who were immature in Christ and even so today. We have this amazing promise, that He will put His Spirit within us, that even when we don’t know how to pray His Spirit knows. Christ is even now interceding on our behalf from His throne of grace! Yet often it is far easier for us to follow our own selfish desires and sometimes even to be jealous or to cause strife. We have possibilities in Christ that we could never have on our own. Are we willing to set aside our selfish, foolish desires and ask that He will give to us and we may receive, seek that we may find and knock that it might be opened to us?

Forgive us for petty jealousy and strife; empower us by Your Spirit, give us Your mind, that we may be all You desire!
