The affection of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6-7, And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.

The gospel is center of all that we have in Christ, as Paul so clearly expresses. He knew the power of the gospel to transform, for he was once hostile to Christ and all those who had received Him. By the grace of God, we can be transformed by the gospel, and see His good news pervade all that we do. He has given us the gift of His Holy Spirit to be our helper, and to give us His good gifts! Do we have this same yearning for others that Paul had, with the affection of Christ Jesus?

We thank You for Your grace that has saved us, that transforms our minds and gives us joy and this same affection of Christ Jesus for others!
