These things happened as examples for us.

1 Corinthians 10:5-6, Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness. Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things, as they also craved.

Even though the people all saw the same cloud and had Christ as their source of living water from the rock, most of them did not do well. We have the body of scripture to help us, to warn us and to give us wisdom. We certainly can’t live long enough to make every mistake; He has given us wisdom and others to help and guide us. Where is my loyalty, is it in craving evil things or craving Him?

Thank You for giving us wisdom; I want to crave more and more of You, O Lord!
