That by reason of His resurrection from the dead.

Acts 26:22-23, “And so, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place; that the Christ was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He should be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

Paul’s message was simple: he obtained help from God and he taught the scripture. Jesus Christ was a suffering servant, put to death on a cross as our perfect sacrifice. He was raised from the dead as proof that He is the One in whom we can place all our trust. Could it be any simpler?

He has died that we might not die; we give You thanks and praise for rescuing us by the power of His blood, O Lord! I need Your help, O Lord!
