Nothing worthy of death.
Acts 25:25-27, “But I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death; and since he himself appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him. “Yet I have nothing definite about him to write to my lord. Therefore I have brought him before you all and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that after the investigation has taken place, I may have something to write. “For it seems absurd to me in sending a prisoner, not to indicate also the charges against him.”
Does this sound familiar? Jesus stood before authorities, having done nothing worthy of death, and He was condemned to death on the cross. Paul, also innocent, is now able to give his testimony about Jesus before rulers, even all the way to Rome, because he did not love his life here on earth and he was willing to be faithful to what the Lord called him to do. Even though I may not be called before kings, am I willing to be faithful to what He calls me to do?
Lord, I want to be faithful to Your call; lead and guide me by Your Holy Spirit!
