He was carried by the soldiers.
Acts 21:35-36, And when he got to the stairs, it so happened that he was carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the mob; for the multitude of the people kept following behind, crying out, “Away with him!”
The mob could have easily killed Paul, but God saw to it that he was protected even by the unbelieving soldiers! What do we have to fear when we are His, and when He has paid the price to set us free from the power of sin and death for all eternity, and when all the resources of creation and beyond are at His disposal?
Thank You for Your great mercy and grace; even in frightening situations, we know that You are in control.
