No small disturbance.

Acts 19:23-25, And about that time there arose no small disturbance concerning the Way. 24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, was bringing no little business to the craftsmen; these he gathered together with the workmen of similar trades, and said, “Men, you know that our prosperity depends upon this business.”

The Good New of Jesus Christ creates a disturbance! One can hardly blame the craftsmen, their zeal for their idols seems to be purely for material gain. How many today are focused on that side of things; can we really see how God is using us even in the marketplace to bring His good news to others? Do we really believe the promise of Jesus that He who feeds the birds, and takes care of the lily of the field who “toil not,” will care for us?

We thank You for Your provision, well beyond our need for “daily bread;” use us in the marketplace to bring glory to Your Name, Lord Jesus!
