Feet in the stocks.

Acts 16:23-24, And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to guard them securely; and he, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison, and fastened their feet in the stocks.

We look at this situation and wonder if we could be as bold as Paul, and how his kind act of driving out an evil spirit could result in jail time. God looks at this situation and sees a jailer who is ready to receive Him! Can we wait expectantly while in the midst of a trial, or must we complain?

We thank You that You can work even when we don’t like our position!
