Slow to speak and slow to anger.
James 1:19, This you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.
This week has already been stressful. I really need to remember this verse and also to put it into practice, to be not only a hearer of the word but a doer. Jesus, on the cross, had every reason to speak angry words; instead He asked the Father to forgive His tormentors! What if His name was actually inscribed across my forehead, as in the scene from Revelation 14?
Father, I need Your help; my flesh is at war within me and I want to be known by Your name even in the face of angry people.
