That very hour of the night.

Acts 16:33-34, And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household.

We see this amazing response to the gospel, in “not neglecting such a great salvation,” not only in being baptized but immediately responding in compassion, cleansing their wounds, feeding them and rejoicing. Do I look for ways every day to respond to our great salvation with service and joy?

Fill our hearts with the joy of service, let us wash the feet of others around us in Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus!
