Set free.
Acts 26:32, And Agrippa said to Festus, "This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar."
And indeed, Agrippa might have been set free had he been able to hear the good news that Paul had just delivered to him. It’s far to easy for us to be distracted by the external, by Paul’s chains, by his destination that would ultimately lead to his untimely death, by his recognized innocence, by the injustice. The same injustice that caused the same crowd that praised the only true innocent One with Hosanna to scream in rage "Crucify Him" only a few days later. Paul’s message for Agrippa might have been, "This man might have been set free if only he had appealed to Jesus Christ!"
We have given our true appeal to You and give You thanks for setting us free from the power of sin and death, Lord Jesus!
