What was being said by Paul.
Acts 27:11, But the centurion was more persuaded by the pilot and the captain of the ship, than by what was being said by Paul.
Later on, when Paul related the good news of an Angel of God that they would all be safe, they were far more interested in what he had to say. At this point, they dismissed him as some kind of religious nut and went about their business, depending upon the experienced sailors. Not in the plans was fierce wind, for He who controls the wind and the waves had another destination. We are far to interested in controlling our destination when we should be setting our sail into the wind of His Spirit!
Give me courage to do what You ask me to do, and to set full sail with the wind of Your Holy Spirit, O Lord!
