That you may be able to withstand in the evil day.

Ephesians 6:12-13, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

All too often, I allow myself to get irritated by others instead of recognizing that my feelings are an opportunity for intercession for them. There are spiritual forces working behind the scenes in ways that we rarely comprehend. Why not take that as the default view, and operating from within the full armor of God ask Him to move in my own life as well as the life of the person who is irritating me?

Give us Your perspective in all that we do and say, to bring glory to Your name, O Lord!
