I equip you.
Isaiah 45:5-6, I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other.
This promise was made to a foreign King Cyrus, over a hundred years before he would have compassion on exiled Israel, and we see him now as a type of Christ to come. God is able to work even through a people that do no know Him to accomplish His purposes. How much more might He do through those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose?
Equip us to day for Your purposes; we praise You as King of King and Lord of Lord and give praise that there is none beside You!
