The grace of God has appeared.

Titus 2:11-15, For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

As the star of Bethlehem brought light to the world, so has God’s light appeared in the glory of God revealed in the face of Jesus Christ by His almighty grace. To as many as receive Him He gives the right to be His sons and daughters and to be filled with His Holy Spirit. And He has given us good works that we might walk in them, to be His hands, feet and presence, to bring His light into this dark world by thought, word and deed. Since we are so blessed, do we celebrate His new life and and declare the wonders of His mercy so that others may come to know Him?

Give us this same boldness that Paul had, to declare the wonder of Your grace in a troubled world; let Your light shine in our own faces as we celebrate all that You have done!
