At the proper time.

Titus 1:1-3, Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began and at the proper time manifested in his word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by the command of God our Savior; ...

Paul packs an amazing amount of information into his greeting to Titus. His energy and dedication comes not from himself, but by inspiration of the Holy Spirit and he is willing to endure any kind of hardship and give thanks for any blessing for the sake of the elect, those who are called by God and given the gift of faith by His amazing grace. In addition to Titus, we are also beneficiaries, for we have access to his marvelous truth to increase our own knowledge, “which accords with godliness.” This truth is to draw us closer to God, to recognize His amazing grace, which by our own actions is completely undeserved. The more we know of His calling for us the more we are humbled that He should call us, and make us heirs to His promises fulfilled in Christ Jesus. We have the same Holy Spirit that inspired Paul to bring God’s truth to others. Are we asking Him for the same boldness?

Give us Your boldness by the power of Your Holy Spirit, to bring Your light into this dark world!
