Every good work and word.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
When we really comprehend the amazing grace given to us in the cross, that the Lord of all creation laid aside His glory to put on flesh, ultimately dying to reconcile us for all eternity, to present us as His own adopted siblings to the Father, we must humbly thank Him and seek to do His will. For all that we have in Him is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we might walk in them. He who has loved us enough to die for us has indeed risen and sustains us even now by the power of His Holy Spirit!
We thank You for the hope that we have through grace, for the comfort You give us and for establishing us in every good work and word. Let us speak well of others and ourselves in Your name, Lord Jesus!
