Revelation 1:4-6, John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

We have been adopted into a marvelous family, and the first born of the dead of all the ages is Jesus Christ our Lord, born of a virgin, living the first sinless life, perfectly walking in the way of the Father, unjustly accused, tried and crucified, raised from the dead, first born of the dead! We who were formerly dead in our sins and trespasses have been seated with Him in the heavenly realm, and look to Him as our certain hope! Are we praising Him today for all that He has done and all that He is going to do?

We praise You that we have this Hope, as an anchor of our souls, sure and steadfast, Jesus Christ our Lord who has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father for His glory!
