Worthy of His calling.
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12, To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are worthy of His calling only by the very strength and power that He gives us. And even when we might suffer for His name, we know that He has suffered absorbing the wrath of God to redeem us fully. One of my preacher friends notes that these wonderful prayers in scripture are pre-approved in the throne room of Heaven! Why not pray this both for our own walk with the Lord and also for another believer that we know?
Make us worthy of Your calling and empower us to do the good works of faith by Your power to bring glory to Your name, Lord Jesus!
