A new song.

Revelation 5:9-10, And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”

Abraham brought his son Isaac to the mountain, and there proclaimed that “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” In Jesus Christ He has provided all that we could never do for ourselves, for He is indeed the Lamb that was slain and provides for us by His blood the ransom. Even the very idea that we need to be ransomed is rejected and mocked by our culture; yet He is every faithful and promises never to reject those who come to Him. He still beckons to all that will hear His voice: “Come unto me, all ye who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Are you willing to come?

We take Your yoke upon us, that we may learn from You who are gentle and lowly in heart, that we may find rest for our souls!
