To Him who loves us.
Revelation 1:5b-6, To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Jesus first advent was in humility, as He lived a perfect life and by His offering on the cross He has freed us from our sins by His own blood. And as we remember His birth in this time of year, we also look to His second advent, for He is coming in the clouds as when He left, to claim His own and to bring His judgment. We who have not seen and yet believe are His own priests of the new covenant, to bring glory to God for ever and ever! Do we order our priorities as though He is coming today?
Open our eyes to Your priorities for this day, O Lord, that we may bring glory to Your name.
