Victory!
1 Corinthians 15:56-57, The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The law is called a tutor, or a guardian as required by a child who is immature and needs guidance. The law has no power to save us, it can only bring us to our knees, clearly showing that before a Holy God we are hopelessly inadequate. But God, being rich in mercy, has not abandoned us to the sting of death, for He gives us the victory over sin in the gospel of Jesus Christ! Have we given thanks for Him today?
We give You thanks for Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life and for the faith to believe and receive His victory over sin and death!
