Acts 12:9, And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.
James, brother of John, really was beheaded. Peter really was thrown into prison, and put in chains. Herod really was intent on crushing this talk of a resurrected Christ. And there was a room of people really praying for Peter to be released. Even so, Peter really wasn’t sure he could believe that an angel had kicked him in the side, released his bonds and ordered him to get dressed, accompanying him out into the street! And when Peter came to the house of those praying for his release, they weren’t really ready to believe it was him. Even so, our God is faithful, even when we are not really sure. Have we put all of our trust in Him?
We put all of our trust in You and thank You that even when we are not really sure, You are.
