In whatever condition each was called.
1 Corinthians 7:22-24, For he who was called in the Lord as a slave is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a slave of Christ. You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men. So, brothers, in whatever condition each was called, there let him remain with God.
We see in Acts that God has determined the boundaries of our dwelling places, that we should seek Him, and feel our way toward Him and find Him. We can be encouraged that He has placed us in a particular place to bring glory to His name. And we can also be encouraged that “He is not very far from every one of us.” The very idea of being a slave is repugnant to our culture. He who loved us from the foundation of the world has set us free; we who are free turn in thanksgiving to willingly serve Him! Have I given myself over to Him?
Lord, use me where You have placed me to bring glory to Your name as I humble bow before Your throne of grace!
