The crown of life.
James 1:12-14, Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.
Do we really see temptation as a pass or fail test? Originally, when coins where struck from a die, there was a run made of “proof” coins to test the quality of the die itself. Now the term has been redefined: a limited quantity of proof coins are double struck in the die and finished to a much higher degree of perfection making them much more valuable. As we face temptation, we can trust that He knows our condition and has provided everything we need to cast down the imagination of our own lust?
Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who is always ready to help me in every test!
