Those who are asleep.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

We get a very clear picture of what is going to happen one day, when Jesus returns bringing with Him those who have died. When someone we love dies in Christ we have this amazing hope. Indeed Christ did die on the cross and rose again, and as the angel said when He ascended, He will return one day, and not alone. Too often we focus on this final event; He has left us here for a reason, to participate in His amazing plans! Are we focused on the idea that our lives are now?
