It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
I need to remember this as I go about my day, for I truly do not work for my clients, but for Him. Am I ready to pray at every opportunity, especially when I am irritated by co-workers? Am I ready to serve especially when I am asked to do things that I consider beneath myself? While a job or client may offer a temporal reward, His reward goes on forever!
How we long to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Give my speech Your grace; let me be willing to serve You Lord Jesus, today!
