The word of the Lord has sounded forth from you.

1 Thessalonians 1:8, For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.

We have recently thrown in with a new group of believers, and our pastor is teaching the concept of “missional living.” Obviously that was the First Century way; Paul came through on a mission to proclaim the name of Jesus wherever He was led by the Holy Spirit, and he taught the new churches like this one to do the same. Our mission field starts with a step outside the door each day, there are those around us that perhaps only we may reach with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Help me to do everything with You in mind, O Lord, that others may come to know Your mighty salvation and give glory to Your Holy name!
