Useful to the Master.

2 Timothy 2:21, Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

Paul is challenging us to cleanse ourselves, not from something that we would perceive as one of the .big sins,. but from wrangling about words, from .worldly and empty chatter.. Apparently there were those in Timothy.s day that had convinced some that the resurrection had already happened, no doubt disturbing them. We have those same people today, who refuse to .handle accurately the word of truth,. who distort the gospel with worldly philosophies and myths. His good news is amazingly simple, we don.t have to complicate it.

Help us to be useful to You Lord Jesus, to handle accurately Your word of truth, to bring Your good news to a hurting, sin sick world.
