The fury of a fire.
Hebrews 10:26-27, For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.
Many of us grew up hearing about the certainty of Hell for sinners and the wrath of an angry God. We instead choose to look at His lovingkindness,
His amazing grace and His mercy. He is unchanging, immutable and He is a consuming fire! It is indeed a terrifying thing to “fall into the hands of the living God.” He has offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice and has sent His Holy Spirit to abide within us. We know that we all stumble and fall into sin. His challenge is: are we willing to turn aside from willful sin? He offers us help in every temptation, for there is none offered without a way of escape!
Fill us to overflowing with Your Holy Spirit; thank You for Your grace and mercy to help us in our times of need.
