By faith.
Hebrews 11;24-26, By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin; considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.
Moses gives us great encouragement, for he was hardly willing to do what God asked of him, even after seeing the burning bush and hearing what God wanted him to do. Yet here he is, in the annals of faith! We might come to a time where we have to make these hard choices, and we are much better prepared than was Moses on this side of the cross. For we know what He has done to pay the price we could never pay. Indeed, as scripture tells us it is “by faith you are saved through grace, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, lest anyone should boast.”
We thank You that we are Your workmanship, and that You have prepared good works that we should walk in them by faith today, Lord Jesus!
