Jealousy and strife.

September 22, 2005, Jealousy and strife.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3, And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to babes in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

And this is right after telling us that we have the mind of Christ! It’s a trap that any of us might fall into just from habit alone. Perhaps we can take time to check ourselves when we feel the need to participate in jealousy and strife, and try instead to discern by the mind of Christ?

I need help, it is far too easy to stay with old habits of anger, jealousy and strife!
