His good pleasure.

Philippians 2:12-13, So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

Paul reminds us first of the incredible humility of Jesus, who laid aside His glory to rescue us. We can easily get caught up in pride, believing our own press, and yet we really can do nothing that lasts unless God works in us. He wants to work through us, in ways that we can scarcely imagine. Are we ready to see what He wants to do in the lives of others?

We want You to work in us today, Lord, to bring glory to Your name, for Your good pleasure!
