Do not be amazed … He has risen.

Mark 16:5-7, And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed. And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples and Peter, 'He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He said to you.'"

What a contrast, to be told that we should not be amazed and that He is risen, there is no body in the tomb. And the news gets even better, for we know that Peter had done exactly what Jesus said he would do in denying Him. We see His amazing grace inviting Peter to come along!

We thank You for Your amazing grace, for Your perfect sacrifice that cleanses us and make us whole in Your sight!
