This has happened that the Scriptures might be fulfilled.

Mark 14:48-49, And Jesus answered and said to them, "Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me, as against a robber? Every day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has happened that the Scriptures might be fulfilled."

They came with swords and clubs, as if these would be useful against the power of Almighty God. Little did they know that they needed no weapons, for all that would happen was His plan. How easy it is for us to lose track of His purpose, to think that we are in control, when His plans are what is really happening! His plans are moving forward right now, do we want to be a part of them?
