I will not deny You.
Mark 14:31, But Peter kept saying insistently, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And they all were saying the same thing, too.
I am so glad that Peter was there, any of us might have said this. And any of us might well have fallen asleep while our Lord prayed on the night He was betrayed. And none of us would really ever be able to forgive those who did such things! Fortunately, our Lord Jesus Christ not only forgave them, He took all their sin and ours to the cross forever. And then, after Peter went back to being a fisherman, He sought him out and empowered him to be a witness to the great things He has done. Perhaps He can use me with all my failings as well?
We receive Your amazing grace and ask You to empower us to be Your witnesses, to bring glory to God.
