April 2, 2005, They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 4:29-31, “And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Thy bond-servants may speak Thy word with all confidence, while Thou dost extend Thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Thy holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

We see signs of this today, when those who have no god but their own desires seem to be taking power. Fortunately, we know the One who has all power. And fortunately, He has given us His power within us. The signs and wonders that were done in that day gave glory to God, to bring people to the truth. Even as the power of evil seems to be rising, we know that our God has plans that will not be thwarted!

Come, Holy Spirit, fill us, give us Your boldness that God may be glorified!
