The LORD is a light for me.
Micah 7:7-8, But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me.
Micah knew the source of his hope, he knew it was in the Lord. Even before the time of the cross, he knew the Lord was the author of salvation, he knew that he could trust him, that he could wait in peace and in light. Even though darkness seems to be rising in our land, we who know Jesus Christ have seen a great light, and He is the one who has overcome the darkness. No matter what happens, we come in faith as did Micah rejoicing in His light.
We thank You for the light of Christ in this dark world; let Your light shine through me today.
