They will not prevail over you.

Jeremiah 15:19-21, Therefore, thus says the LORD, "If you return, then I will restore you— before Me you will stand; and if you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become My spokesman. They for their part may turn to you, but as for you, you must not turn to them. Then I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze; and though they fight against you, they will not prevail over you; for I am with you to save you and deliver you," declares the LORD. "So I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you from the grasp of the violent."

There is no doubt that most of us would have caved in to the pressure that Jeremiah faced, for even though his message was from the Lord, it was not popular. And there were also many false prophets quite willing to say whatever gave them favor with the people. He was to turn only to the Lord, and turn not to those who did not like his message. In so doing, he would receive the strength for the day, to be as a "fortified wall of bronze." Most of us will never face this kind of opposition, but we should indeed pray as did the early apostles including Paul, to speak His word with confidence!

Give us Your boldness, to make a difference even in a world that is hostile to Your Son Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life!
