A God who is near.
Jeremiah 23:23-24, "Am I a God who is near," declares the LORD, "And not a God far off? Can a man hide himself in hiding places, so I do not see him?" declares the LORD. "Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?" declares the LORD.
We have His promises, that He will never leave us nor forsake us, that He will be with us always, even to the end of time. We have the promise of His Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, and we know that He is always ready to listen as we pray. He has put His angels around us as ministering servants. Even though there is a deceiver who wants us to think that we are alone and abandoned, we know that He is near, ready help us in every situation. As we meditate on His presence, He fills us with His joy!
We thank You for the joy of knowing that You are with us; we want to turn to You in every situation, O Lord.
