You shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:37-39, Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself."

We see this incredible revival, wherein Peter is inspired to wield the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, and thousands came to know Jesus. He has made good on His promise, that He would not abandon us as orphans, but would send us His Holy Spirit as our comforter, councilor and companion. Are we looking to Him for fulfillment of this promise, are we able to see Him present within us?

We need Your presence, especially in these troubled times; come, Holy Spirit, we need You more than ever today!
