Humble your heart.
Daniel 5:22-23, "Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this, but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and your ways, you have not glorified."
We live in a time when it is all too easy to take so many things for granted. Humility of heart is not something that we give much thought to, but when we stop to consider how fragile life is, that’s a start. When we consider all of our blessings, and how much we have been given, especially in Christ, we take another step in that direction. Jesus tells us in scripture that the greatest thing we can do is to be servants, and He showed His own disciples in washing their feet.
We are in awe of all You have done for us, we want to glorify Your name through humility and service.
