Heat the furnace seven times more.

Daniel 3:19, Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was altered toward Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

We see the wrath of this king directed against those faithful to the one true God, truly "turning up the heat." As this story unfolds, we see the protection of God against the worst the world had to offer, ultimately bringing glory to God. When things seem to be getting worse, not better, can we have the same faith, knowing that God’s plans are at work, that His name will be glorified?

Give us an eternal perspective, that we may trust You in faith no matter what happens.
