The bread of life.
John 6:48, “I am the bread of life.”
Jesus taught us to pray for God to give us our Daily bread, and when tempted He took us back to the book of Deuteronomy to show us that “man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Unfortunately many of us are spiritually malnourished, starving creatures in a time when the written word is abundantly available as never before in all history. Do we spend as much time with His word as we do our favorite hobby?
Breathe on us O Lord, teach us as You have promised, and fulfill Your promise to draw near to us as we draw near to You!
