Ask ... seek ... knock!
Luke 11:9-10, And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
We are encouraged to be bold, and reminded by James to ask in faith and with pure motives. As we ask for the Lord to reveal himself, his purpose for our lives and his guidance for this day we can be sure that we will receive it. And if there is anything missing, we know that we can find it in him. And best of all, if there is any door that still seems to be closed, when we knock on that door it will be opened! James also tells us that we can surely receive the Lord’s wisdom if only we will ask, not doubting that we will receive. Have we asked in faith for his leading today?
Lead and guide us into your amazing wisdom, O Lord, that others may come to know you!
