Proclaiming the kingdom of God.

Acts 28:30-31, He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.

Even though Paul was a prisoner, he had this amazing ministry, and he was free spread the gospel in the heart of Rome. And even though Luke spares us the rest of the story, that he would be martyred there, he uses his time well and with thanksgiving for all who believe the gospel. His heart was broken by the rejection of the gospel by his own nation and he recognized the sovereign plan of God to bring the good news to the other nations, by which we are now blessed. How are we using our own time to proclaim the kingdom of God and to bring his good news to those we meet?

Give us a measure of this same spirit, no matter what our circumstances, to proclaim your kingdom and to bring your good news as salt and light even when we face rejection.
