Your are my refuge.
Jeremiah 17:9-10, 14, 17 “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds...” Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, For You are my praise ... Do not be a terror to me; You are my refuge in the day of disaster.
There is a “reality” television show that tracks the behavior of people using hidden cameras and exposes the deception of their actions and reveals their unfaithfulness to others for all to see. The camera and microphones reveal actions but can only suggest what is deep within the heart of the one being exposed. His searching of the heart goes far beyond cameras and microphones. If we really stop to consider this, we must join with the cry of Isaiah when the glory of the Lord appeared before him in the temple: “Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips...” and Jesus tells us that what flow out of our mouth comes from our heart. Fortunately, He has given us the complete solution for this in Jesus Christ. “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God and there is no other.
Lord Jesus Christ, savior of the world, we look to You to be saved and healed, we give thanks to You who “became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God!”
